gotta go see a man about a piano...will fill in later ...o.k. i am back... so, how can i write this and not sound like an egoistic maniac who must be a "STAR" at all costs....hmmm i am not Dieter Bohlen..??
proffessional singer and actor since i was 15 in and around the chicago area..yes unfortunatly i was born in america...but my grandparents were all german born, so it was enivatible i would end up back in the promised land...so age 22 i moved to the U.K....and for the next 20 years i schlept my butt all over the country, performing my therorehtical balls of, always for crap money...but hey ...we do it for the love of the theatre...or that is what producers always tell us...(yes master...)
i have sung music ranging from 16th century madrigals, light opera musicals, up to robbie williams and the prodigy...my favourite is still swing/ big band music of the 30's and 40's . . . . . .

looking for friends, colleagues... directors ... producers...to talk about the performing world in deutschland....and hopefully see what i can do to get a little creative outlet here ...to share what talants i have with the people who cross my path while singing, oder so....after all no matter what country you are in... it is usually who you know, and not how talented you are...that get you that first big break !

and i have done over 50 musicals, revieues, comedies and so on...i must have been o.k. ...... never had rotten tomatos thrown at me....well, not yet... get in touch if you feel like it...

It was a cold and stormy night………….o.k… it was noon on a wednesday in March 1962… that I came into this dimension and breathed my first breath - as Keith Michael Böhm……or Boehm, as we used to spell it. - Keith … why Keith!!!) And was I Born in an exotic place, in an exciting cultured country.. Not a Chance! Bismarck North Dakota..U.S.A….. even americans don’t believe it really exists!! If you have seen the film FARGO, by the Coen Brothers….. That is the place - those are my people…. What Chance did i have!! As it turned out, a little better chance when we moved to ‘small town America’ nestled between Chicago and Milwaukee…..name wich held to Protect the naive…. Population 3200.. 30 years later it had grown to a phenomenal 4800 - practically a Metropolis! So knowing I was a ‘ranging wooftah‘….as a collegue used to refer to me (affectionately, i always hoped) and knowing this at the age of 10 in tiny town was a hard childhood. To add to that wanting to be a singer/actor, and being ‘more than average’ in a-learnin’ and natural cleverness. ….I was just asking to have my head kicked in. Luckilly that never happened. And I won’t go into being a boy scout … a Professional Boy Scout with all of that as well…then we are talking Tragic sit-com Character - and I’ve gotten over it all….and you would just find it all a little too amusing. (wink) So blossoming into the charming man I now have become started by having to be nice and funny …. All things I was good at. I have added Other qualities to my Repertoire…more on them later…hehehe…. But i also started singing professionally at the age of 15, which thru a series of bizzare performances in a Renaissance Festival or two……(from a Madrigal singing Prince of Wales one year, to the leper the next year…i felt i really grew as an actor!!) I ended up wich a insane theatre company perfoming in the Highlands of Scotland, doing Commedia del-arte to a whole village in front of a pig barn. And no - luckily none of the pigs used this opportunity to make mad passionate love and upstage us….. They heckled thru out, of course, but were kind critics in the end…i don’t think They really uderstood the piece tho…. So being such a success in tue U.K…..(…………..) i decided to stay. And BOY did i stay! 21 years there, 9 different flats. one Partner of 11.5 years who I still love deeply, even tho we were always more friends than lovers…. when i love some one, that is that…(more of that in DAY BY DAY…….. Ha! Now you have to Look at THAT page as well) Two National Tours of Broadway Musicals “Annie” & “The Pirates of Penzance” - doing over 35 #1 theatres and a run in London’s West End - at the Palladium Theatre I ended up starring in 5 summers of low budget theatre on the Isle of wight…slightly more populär than North Dakota….. But with the exact same people… it was like a home away from home….what Chance did i have!!! O.k….. it was a lot of fun, and 26 revieus, 9 book musicals, and many many people having a damn good evening out !! But no sex…nada…nunti…kein kein kein!!! Not on a tiny Island in the englisch channel…. Filled wich elderly people and Young families (and i mean Young families… “birth control…is that a new button on the T.V. remote?“….)Hmmmmmmm, That must be why the Business manager at the theatre always called me the ‘raging wooftah’………. But I gave that all up …well it gave me up… or squeezed me dry…..theatre can do that to you
